From : Beside Police Station (Koban), A2 exit, Tsukuba Center

Please look out for a large orange bus. The operating schedule is as follows:

①Tsukuba station 9:10 departure -> AIST 9:25 arrival  (boarding location: A2 exit, in front of the Koban)

②Tsukuba station 10:00 departure -> AIST 10:15 arrival  (boarding location: A2 exit, in front of the Koban)

③AIST 18:15 departure -> Tsukuba station 18:30 arrival  (boarding location: AIST central)

④AIST 20:30 departure -> Tsukuba station 20:45 arrival  (boarding location: TBD)

* ③The departure timing of buses from AIST may change depending on the actual end time of the event

JR Joban Line, Arakawa-Oki Station

Use Kantetsu Buses or taxi.

  • Kantetsu bus : Take either of 20, 21A, 22, Stop at “Namiki 2-chome”「並木2丁目」下車
  • Taxi Destination : “Science Square, AIST Central”「産総研中央　第1事業所（サイエンススクエア）前」, Ca. 20 minutes

Highway Buses

  • From Tokyo Station South Terminal for Tsukuba University (or Tsukuba Center), Stop at “Namiki 2-chome”

  • Buses from Haneda Airport, Ibaraki Airport available.
  • Caution! Buses from Narita Airport don’t stop!

By Car

  • You must check in at the Main Gate. See here (in Japanese).
  • North gate and South gate are for registered cars only.
